7 Things that Women Find Most Attractive in a Man

Obviously, every woman is different and every woman finds different aspects of a man attractive. Preferences about physical appearance vary from woman to woman, leveling one man as handsome to woman A and the same man as plain to woman B. However, there are several characteristics that all women seem to find attractive in a man. Though there may be some discrepancy as to what women find the most attractive, we'd like to try to cover a few of the basics.

1) Eyes and/or Smile: We didn't necessarily want to start with appearance, but it's true that we women tend to notice a man's eyes and smile before we notice anything else. If the man has a dull countenance, we aren't likely to give him the time of day. However, if a man takes the opportunity to smile at us or look us in the eye, we're going to take a chance on him. If he happens to have deep or sparkling eyes, we might fall in love on the spot.

2) A Gentleman's Behaviour: This type of attitude and the corresponding actions are so rarely seen in men that when they are displayed, women find them attractive. It is true that we have many modern women who don't want to appear frail or diminished, but most women appreciate men opening doors for them, pulling out their chairs, or helping them with a heavy load.

3) Appropriate Speech: Women do not find attractive, men who are constantly swearing, bad-mouthing people, or using crude speech. We don't expect men to speak like English professor or an eighteenth century poet, but we do expect your words to be respectful and appropriate.

4) Respectful Manners: This is talking about everything from basic dinner table manners to how to act a social gathering. Women are not typically attracted to men who constantly make messes, act rudely, try to be the centre of attention, or draw unnecessary attention to themselves because their actions are so audacious and improper.

5) Kind Gestures: One of the easiest ways for a man to become attractive to a woman is to bestow kind gestures on her. That doesn't mean you should go out and buy a bouquet of roses. Kind gestures might include sending a brief note if she's not feeling well or is having a bad day, offering to help her with a job that might be difficult, or simply dropping by to say hello. These gestures, while they may seem small, score big points with women.

6) Orderly Appearance: We must return to appearance, for women are attracted to men who take care of themselves. We like to see a well-dressed man who appears to have showered within the last 48 hours and possibly even washed his clothes recently. Men don't have to dress like a model to be attractive, but women want to see care.

7) Interest: We women aren't self-centred, at least not any more than men, but we are attracted to men who show interest in who we are. We want the men in our life to appreciate our hobbies. If a man takes the time to interest himself in our interests, we'll have a hard time not being attracted to him.
